For 24 hours, you need to track all of the music you listen to. Log this music in chronological order. The music should be listed by time, activity, and then type of music. For example, a log entry could read:

7 am-7:40 am: Riding the bus to school. Listened to heavy metal on my ipod.

or

5:30 pm-6 pm: Went grocery shopping with mom. Background music in grocery store. No idea what it is.

After completing 24 hours of logging (I realize it won't be 24 hours of music....you have to sleep sometime), list times when you thought you actively listened to music and times when you passively listened to music. Be careful to remember the definitions of both.

I prefer typed assignments, but if it is REALLY neat, I don't mind handwritten.
