How to set up your blog

Steps for setting up your blog
1. Log on to http://edublogs.org.
2. Click on the "Free!" option.
3. Select a username. To keep this simple, I would go with some variation on your name. If your name is Joe Smith, I would recommend "joesmith", "jsmith", or something similar. If the username is already taken, it will ask you to create another one.
4. After selecting a username, select a password. DON'T FORGET YOUR PASSWORD!! Make sure to also confirm your password in the box to the right.
5. Enter your email address. This is optional. However, if you do not put an email address and you lose your password, there is NO WAY to get it back. Therefore, if you have an email address, I would type it in.
6. Click on the "I Agree" box at the bottom and then click "Go On To Step 2".
7. Do not change the blog domain.
8. Come up with a title for your blog. This title will appear at the top of your blog and should reflect your creativity. For example, my blog is titled "Keep On Rockin' in the Free World". Make sure it is school appropriate.
9. Make sure "English" is set as your language and then select "Student" as your blog type.
10. Type in the two words shown in the anti-spam filter. Put a space between the two words (the words may be nonsense, just type what you see). After completing this, click on "Go To Step 3".
11. Your blog has been set up. If you need to write down the information given, I highly recommend that you do. You may scroll down and log on to your blog immediately if you wish.
