Members Present: Bill Vliek (director), Teresa Crandall, Schawn England, Brandon Adams, Lynnette Adams, Kasey Adams (student), Lynnette Adams, Jeff Landenberger, Dawn Twiss, Nancy Collier, Julie Baglien (treasurer), Denise Farmer, Kaylee Collier (student)
I. Director Update
A. The middle school December concert (the 13th) is being moved from 7 pm to 6 pm to accommodate the choir musical on the same night.
B. The first weeks of band are going well in all grades. This is the largest 7th grade band since Mr. Vliek has been here (28). The first notes of sixth grade will be posted to the website soon.
II. Pizza Kits
A. The selling dates will be October 3rd through November 11th. Orders must be turned in no later than November 15th to Little Caesars. Delivery date is November 18th at 10:30 am. Mr. Vliek will check into the availability of Town Hall for delivery.
B. Volunteers will work delivery date pickup at Town Hall. Pickup will be noon-6.
C. For student accounts, any item after the 5th item sold will earn $3/item toward a student's account, grades 8-12.
III. Colorguard equipment proposal
A. $600 will be given toward colorguard equipment, contingent on the colorguard girls raising the appropriate funds during the pizza kits.
IV. Selection of yearly meeting days/times
A. Second Wednesday of every month at 6 pm in high school band room.
V. Other
A. Mr. Vliek would like to spend our funds this year on instrument repairs and subsidizing private lessons for students.
B. Tattoos will be sold on Friday of Homecoming week at elementary school, middle school, and possibly at football game and FFA Chicken and Pork Barbeque.
C. A discussion will be held at the next meeting regarding the pizza kit fundraiser and it's value.
